France to give Ukrainian medics 10,000 laptops - Ukrainian minister of digital transformation

MOSCOW. July 26 (Interfax) - The French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty will hand over 10,000 laptops to Ukrainian medics to support the digitalization of Ukraine's healthcare sector, the Ukrainian media quoted Ukraine's Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov as saying.

"In order to make it easier for medics to work and to communicate with patients online, it is important to provide each medic with high-quality Internet access and with a computer. It is a key element of plans to digitalize the healthcare sector," Fedorov said on social media on Tuesday.

He thanked the French Ministry of Economy and Finance for its contribution to the digitalization of Ukraine's healthcare sector.

As reported, the Ukrainian government earlier adopted a decision to introduce electronic prescriptions. Besides, Ukrainian doctors also can issue sick leaves online.
