Ukraine to begin exporting grain via Black Sea ports - Zelensky

MOSCOW. July 25 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed that Ukraine will start exporting grain across the Black Sea in accordance with the agreements signed in Istanbul.

"We have prepared everything. There is a corridor from our side, in our waters it is controlled by Ukraine and inspections [of vessels] in them will be performed only by Ukrainians... We will definitely begin exports," Zelensky said at a briefing with the Guatemalan president in Kyiv, according to Ukrainian media.

At the same time, Turkey and the United Nations, with whom the relevant agreements was signed, will ensure further security of Ukrainian grain exports, he said.

"We trust Turkey and the UN, with whom we have signed relevant documents regarding the export of grain, and they should take care of the safety of ships of other states that have agreed to transport grain, corn and barley to other countries," the president said.
