Zelensky urges U.S. to join Ukraine recovery efforts at meeting with House delegation
MOSCOW. July 25 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met a delegation of the United States House of Representatives on Saturday, during which he informed its members of Ukraine post-crisis recovery efforts, the first stage of it being the implementation of the Fast Recovery Plan aimed at quickly reconstructing the housing, educational, and healthcare infrastructure.
"We are making a proposal to our partners, including the United States, that they get actively involved in implementing this ambitious and yet extremely important project already now," Ukrainian media quoted Zelensky as saying, with reference to the presidential press service.
Zelensky thanked the U.S. Congress members, particularly Chair of the House Armed Services Committee Adam Smith, for their "resolve to continue supporting our state and help it defend its independence and territorial integrity."
