EU adds 57 individuals, entities to Russia sanction lists, including Sobyanin, Chemezov, Sberbank - Official Journal

BRUSSELS. July 22 (Interfax) - The European Union has put 57 individuals and entities from Russia on its new sanction list, including Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Rostec chief Sergei Chemezov, the Official Journal of the European Union said.

The sanction list includes actors Sergei Bezrukov and Vladimir Mashkov, as well as Sberbank and eight other organizations.

The individuals sanctioned by the EU include First Deputy Director of the Federal Security Service (FSB) Sergei Korolyov (Korolev), First Deputy Director of the Federal Service of the National Guard (Russian Guard) Viktor Strigunov, Kemerovo region Governor Sergei Tsivilev, presidential envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District Yury Chaika, businessman Andrei Kozitsyn, children's ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova, First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov, as well as a number of senior military and Russian Guard commanders and some relatives of businesspeople under sanctions.

The entities sanctioned by the EU include, among others, the FORSS group of companies operating in the shipbuilding industry, the Kvant research and production association operating in the space rocket industry, the Avlita stevedoring company, the all-Russia Young Army (Yunarmiya) Military Patriotic Social Movement, the Russky Mir foundation popularizing the Russian language and culture, the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund, the Night Wolves motorcycle club, and others.

The journal said that the individuals and entities on the sanction list are subject to a travel ban and asset freeze.
