Fisheries Agency, Nornickel subsidiary sign settlement on oil product spill
KRASNOYARSK. July 22 (Interfax) - The Krasnoyarsk Territory Arbitration Court on Friday approved an amicable settlement between the Federal Fisheries Agency and Nornickel subsidiary JSC NTEC on environmental damages caused by an oil product spill at the Norilsk combined heat-and-power plant.
"The amicable settlement on the case regarding JSC Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company's compensation for damages caused to marine biological resources as a result of an oil product spill that was brought by a lawsuit from the Yenisei regional division of the Federal Fisheries Agency has been approved by the Arbitration Court of Krasnoyarsk Territory," the court told reporters.
