Manturov to be in charge of Urals Federal District as Russian deputy PM - Mishustin

MOSCOW. July 18 (Interfax) - Russia's new Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov will be in charge of the Urals Federal District, in addition to his direct duties as deputy prime minister, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

"All deputy prime ministers in the government, in addition to their industry powers, are in charge of the socioeconomic development of specific federal districts. You will be in charge of the industrially focused Urals Federal District," the prime minister told Manturov at a meeting with the deputy prime ministers on Monday.

According to Mishistin, Manturov will be in charge of industry and defense sector issues in the government.

"In the new post, you will be in charge of issues relating to the state policies in the sphere of industry, and also the fulfillment of the programs to develop the nuclear, rocket and space, shipbuilding, aviation, radioelectronic, and defense sectors. Technological and nuclear supervision," Mishustin said.
