U.S. embassy in Kyiv urges Americans to leave Ukraine

MOSCOW. July 15 (Interfax) - The U.S. embassy in Kyiv has urged Americans not to travel to Ukraine, while those already there are recommended immediate departure.

"The security situation throughout Ukraine continues to be violent and unpredictable. [...]The U.S. Embassy urges U.S. citizens not to enter Ukraine and those in Ukraine to depart immediately using privately available ground transportation options if it is safe to do so," Ukrainian media outlets said, quoting the embassy website.

"Avoid large gatherings and organized events [...] anywhere in Ukraine, including its western regions," the embassy said.
