Nissan appoints new managing director for Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan

MOSCOW. July 13 (Interfax) - Nissan has announced the appointment of Andrei Chirkov as managing director of the company's division responsible for the markets of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, replacing Andrei Akifiev in the position.

"From 2011 to 2022, Andrei Chirkov has worked in the company in various positions, such as in after-sales service and sales and marketing, including heading the Datsun brand from 2017 to 2020 and the Nissan marketing department from 2020 to 2022," the company said in a statement.

Chirkov will be in charge of "the key areas of Nissan's business in Russia", including sales, marketing, developing dealerships, and after-sales service.

Akifiev decided to resign from the company, having worked in various positions since 2004.
