Alstom stake in Russia's Transmashholding not subject to sale - Alstom CEO

PARIS. July 13 (Interfax) - The stake of the French concern Alstom in the Russian asset of JSC Transmashholding (TMH) is not subject to sale, Dow Jones quoted Henri Poupart-Lafarge, chairman of the board of directors and CEO of Alstom, as saying on Tuesday during the company's annual general shareholders' meeting.

"No one will buy the 20% stake in TMH," Poupart-Lafarge said during the AGM.

As previously reported, Alstom recorded a write-down of 441 million euros in its financial statements for the 2021-2022 fiscal year from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, owing to the impairment of its 20% stake in TMH.

Alstom in March announced the suspension of all deliveries and future investments in Russia.
