All foreign prisoners sentenced to death in DPR appeal their sentences - DPR head Pushilin

MOSCOW. July 13 (Interfax) - The foreign citizens sentenced to death in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) have appealed their sentences, DPR head Denis Pushilin said in the Soloviev.Live program.

"All foreigners [sentenced to death] have filed appeals. If the court upholds their sentences, they will be executed by a firing squad in private," Pushilin said.

"Over 100 members of the Azov battalion are preparing to stand trial, their cases are based on evidence, and they are being held in a detention facility," he said.

"Respective preparations are being made; there will be a direct court proceeding in some cases and a tribunal in others. Each case will be individual," Pushilin said.
