Co of former Sistema head to open eight charging stations in southern Russia by year's end
KRASNODAR. July 13 (Interfax) - Green Drive LLC, a company founded by former Sistema PJSFC president Andrei Dubovskov, will open at least eight fast charging stations for electric vehicles in the southern Russian region of Rostov by the end of this year, Green Drive CEO Sergei Yakovlev told Interfax.
The company now has 17 fast charging stations along the M4 Don highway from Moscow to Sochi. They are located in Moscow, Tula, Voronezh and Rostov regions, as well as in Sochi, Krasnodar, Novorossiysk, Tuapse in Krasnodar Territory, and the village of Kuschevskaya in the northern part of the territory, Yakovlev said.
All of the stations are fast charging, with charging times of 30 to 60 minutes depending on the type of vehicle and battery capacity, he said.
Green Drive's charging infrastructure is built based on domestic solutions, he said. The supplier is Russian charging station developer and manufacturer Parus Electro.
"Each station currently costs the company 3 million rubles without including installation, utility connection and other expenses. Seven or eight companies in Russia currently offer their charging infrastructure solutions and competition is growing," Yakovlev said.
He said Green Drive plans to install a total of 50 fast charging stations along the M-4 Don highway from Moscow to cities on the Black Sea coast of Krasnodar Territory by the end of 2024.
"And while now there are charging stations an average of every 200-250 km from the capital to the Black Sea coast, with the complete implementation of the project it will be possible to charge on the highway every 60-80 km. These are the leading European standards," Yakovlev said.
He said the company opened the first two stations, with capacity of 150 kW and 60 kW, in Krasnodar last year. "And we're looking at new interesting locations in the regional center for installing fast charging stations," Yakovlev said.
It was reported earlier that Green Drive is carrying out a comprehensive project to install fast charging stations along the whole stretch of the M4 Don highway from Moscow to cities on the Black Sea coast of Krasnodar Territory. The total budget for the project is 250 million rubles.
