Google fined 60,000 rubles over failure to remove personal data from YouTube - court

MOSCOW. July 12 (Interfax) - A magistrate's court in Moscow's Tagansky district has found Google guilty of an administrative offense, a failure to remove personal data from the YouTube video hosting service, an Interfax correspondent reported from the courtroom on Tuesday.

"Google LLC is found guilty under Part 5 Article 13.11 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses (an operator's failure to comply with personal data requirements) and fined 60,000 rubles," the judge said.

According to materials presented in the courtroom, the motion against Google is based on the failure to remove a video from the YouTube channel of opposition activist Alexei Navalny containing the personal data of an individual.
