Ukraine to receive $1.7-bln grant from IBRD's Single-Donor Trust Fund - PM Shmyhal

MOSCOW. July 11 (Interfax) - Ukraine will receive a $1.7-billion grant from the Single-Donor Trust Fund (SDTF) established by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the International Development Association (IDA), and USAID, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.

"The draft agreement has been approved at a government meeting. This is a fruit of agreements reached by the partners. The grant will be received by the Ukrainian budget on a gratuitous, irrevocable basis from USAID with the support of the IBRD and the IDA," Ukrainian media quoted Shmyhal as saying on social media on Saturday.

The grant will compensate the budget expenditures on healthcare services provided under the healthcare guarantee program, he said.

"This is a very strong support received from our American partners," Shmyhal said.
