Situation surrounding Covid-19 in Russia calm - Health Minister

YOSHKAR-OLA. July 11 (Interfax) - A number of countries are currently recording an increase in coronavirus cases, while the situation surrounding Covid-19 in Russia is calm, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said.

"There is currently a spike in cases of the novel coronavirus infection in a number of countries. So far, the situation in our country is overall calm, but taking care of one's health is a must, especially for people over the age of 65," Murashko told journalists on Monday.

The minister urged people over the age of 65 to get booster shots within six months of getting vaccinated.
