Law on Ukraine's anti-corruption strategy for period until 2025 takes effect

MOSCOW. July 11 (Interfax) - A law on Ukraine's anti-corruption strategy for the period until 2025 took effect on Sunday, following its publication in the Holos Ukrayiny newspaper on Saturday.

Ukrainian media outlets said, quoting the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) that the NACP was working together with the government, the public and businesses to elaborate a state program of the fulfillment of the anti-corruption strategy. The program will set specific objectives in countering corruption and will designate government agencies responsible for such efforts. The NACP will ensure the maximum inclusiveness of this process.

It will also develop a special IT instrument to allow the public monitor the fulfillment of the anti-corruption strategy.

The bill was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on June 20 and signed into law by the Ukrainian president on July 7.
