Russia should fulfil obligations to its traditional partners amid problems on food market - Putin

MOSCOW. July 8 (Interfax) - Russia should fulfil all its obligations to supply agricultural products to its traditional partners, bearing in mind the upcoming problems on the global food markets, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"Bearing in mind the problems that will be arising on the global food markets in connection with the inevitable global food inflation, we, of course, should fulfil all our obligations to our traditional permanent partners, who are looking very closely at what is happening in our agrarian sector and who do hope that we will fulfil all our obligations," Putin said at a meeting with government officials on Friday.

"We have all the necessary preconditions for that," the president said. "We know of the problems that arise in connection with so-called illegal sanctions: logistics, cargo insurance, etc. [...] But we need to think about all these things in advance and regulate appropriately," Putin said.
