Oracle gets Ukraine Peace Prize
MOSCOW. July 7 (Interfax) - The U.S. corporation Oracle has received the Ukraine Peace Prize instituted by Ukraine for its assistance in preserving government registers.
Ukrainian media have reported with reference to the Digital Transformation Ministry on Thursday that the prize was presented by its team to Oracle representatives upon the conclusion of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Lugano, Switzerland.
"Oracle supported Ukraine by helping transfer a number of registers and critical databases to a safe location and backing them up. Owing to this, our state managed to continue functioning in wartime mode. The company provided Ukraine with services worth over $3 million for free," it said.
