Spain might extend 250 mln euros to Ukraine - diplomat

MOSCOW. July 6 (Interfax) - Spain might extend 250 million euros to Ukraine via several financial instruments, Spanish Foreign Ministry Secretary of State for International Cooperation Pilar Cancela Rodriguez said at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Switzerland's Lugano.

Ukrainian media said with reference to Rodriguez that Spain would extend a 100-million-euro guarantee for the World Bank's multi-donor fund providing direct financial support to the Ukrainian budget and another 100-million-euro guarantee for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Another 50 million euros would be earmarked for food security and cities in Ukraine, Rodriguez said.
