World Bank could lend Ukrainian rail operator Ukrzaliznytsia $200 mln to increase grain exports

MOSCOW. July 6 (Interfax) - The World Bank could lend $200 million to Ukrainian railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia to boost grain export capacity.

"We have tentatively agreed with the World Bank on $200 million in funding for our projects to develop grain export capacity," company chief Oleksandr Kamyshin said on Telegram following the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Lugano, Switzerland.

Kamyshin said earlier that Ukrzaliznytsia was unable to increase grain exports to any great extent in June to due to existing logistics constraints.

Ukraine exported 1.41 million tonnes of grain in June compared to 1.2 million tonnes in May.
