Belaruskali begins exporting potash fertilizer via Russian ports - media

MINSK. July 5 (Interfax) - Belaruskali has begun exporting potash fertilizer via Russian ports, the Belarusian state TV channel ONT reported.

"The giant of domestic industry has signed a contract for transshipping 2 million tonnes of potash fertilizer by the end of next year," according to the report.

Belarus has not been permitted to export potash fertilizer via the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda since February of this year. Additionally, the European Union has imposed sectoral sanctions against Belarusian potash fertilizer, and there are EU and U.S. individual prohibitive sanctions against Belaruskali and its trader, Belarusian Potash Company (BPC).

Kommersant, citing sources, had previously reported that sanctioned Belaruskali has been selling its products at a 30%-50% discount to the current prices on the global market when exporting potash fertilizer via Russian ports.
