Lugano conference could kick-start Ukraine's large-scale restoration - Zelensky

MOSCOW. July 4 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has described the conference starting in Switzerland's Lugano on Monday as "an important step for the reconstruction of Ukraine."

"We are actively preparing for the start of a special conference in Lugano, Switzerland. Its first day is on Monday. A large-scale international event dedicated to the reconstruction of our country," Ukrainian media outlets quoted his video address on Saturday evening.

"This requires colossal investments - billions, new technologies, best practices, new institutions and, of course, reforms. [...] Ukraine will present in Lugano a national view on how to implement all this," Zelensky said.

According to Zelensky, "this is the largest economic project of our time in Europe and extraordinary opportunities for every state, for every company that we will invite to work in Ukraine to prove themselves."
