Lukoil to launch commercial oil output at Grayfer field in Caspian Sea in 2023

ASTRAKHAN/MOSCOW. July 1 (Interfax) - The start of commercial oil production at the Grayfer field in the Caspian Sea is scheduled for 2023, following completion of commissioning and obtaining permits for launching operations of the facilities, Nikolai Lyashko, general director of Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhskneft LLC, said at a round table meeting of the State Duma Committee on Energy.

The production plateau at the field will be 1.2 million tonnes of oil per year, with recoverable reserves totaling 19.2 million tonnes.

As of today, the support blocks and the upper structure of the accommodation module platform, as well as the support blocks of the drilling platform, are installed in the sea. The topside of the drilling platform has been pushed onto the transport and installation barge, and it is waiting to be put out to sea for its sliding and completion of outfitting work.
