Moscow and Minsk to develop cooperation on fertilizer, food exports - Putin

MOSCOW. July 1 (Interfax) - Moscow and Minsk will develop cooperation in deliveries of fertilizers and food to world markets, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"Russia and Belarus intend to develop cooperation both in agriculture and in deliveries of fertilizers and food to world markets," Putin said in an address to the participants in the Forum of Russian and Belarusian Regions.

"During the recent meeting with [Belarusian President] Alexander Grigoryevich [Lukashenko] in St. Petersburg, we discussed this issue in detail and also agreed to use the transshipment capacity of the Russian port terminal in the Baltic Sea to export Belarusian goods to external markets," he said.
