Russia registers 3,155 new cases of Covid-19, 53 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. July 1 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 3,155 new cases of Covid-19, as well as 1,148 hospitalizations and 53 deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Friday.

"As of July 1, Russia recorded 3,155 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,148 patients were hospitalized, down 3.9% from the previous day," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 53 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in 43, and has remained unchanged in nine, it said.

Fifty-three patients died from Covid-19 over the past day, as against 56 the day before.

There was an uptick in Covid-19 cases from 3,106 infections reported on Thursday.

"Another 3,388 patients have recovered over the past day, up 4.1% from June 30," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 18,433,394 cases of Covid-19, including 381,165 deaths and 17,861,605 recoveries.
