External borrowings to Ukraine's state budget at 87.5 bln hryvni in June

MOSCOW. June 30 (Interfax) - External borrowings to Ukraine's state budget amounted to 87.5 billion hryvni in June, more than three times higher than they were in May, Ukrainian media outlets quoted Yaroslav Zheleznyak, deputy chairman of the parliamentary committee on finances and tax and customs policy, as saying on social media on Wednesday evening.

"June is highly likely to become the first month since February 24 when partners' external assistance will contribute more to the budget than tax proceeds," Zheleznyak said.

The Ukrainian Finance Ministry said earlier that Ukraine has received over $6 billion in external assistance in the form of grants and loans since February 24. At the same time, the Finance Ministry projected the size of external assistance for Ukraine in June at $4.8 billion.
