Russia registers 3,028 new cases of Covid-19, 54 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. June 29 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 3,028 new cases of Covid-19, as well as 1,334 hospitalizations and 54 deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Wednesday.

"As of June 29, Russia recorded 3,028 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,334 patients were hospitalized, down 6.4% from the previous day," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations grew in 25 Russian constituent territories, decreased in 48, and remained unchanged in 12, it said.

According to the statement, 54 patients died from Covid-19 over the day compared with 59 the day before.

Daily morbidity increased by almost 500 cases from 2,541 reported on Tuesday. Yet morbidity is maintaining the minimal levels of mid-April 2020.

"Another 3,680 patients have recovered over the past day, up 7.8% from June 28," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 18,427,133 cases of Covid-19, including 381,056 deaths and 17,854,962 recoveries.
