Kazakhstan ready to make every effort to support foreign companies in Kazakhstan - Kazakh Foreign Ministry

NUR-SULTAN. June 28 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan is ready to make every effort to support representatives of foreign companies operating in the country, Kazakh First Deputy Foreign Minister Akan Rakhmetullin said.

"In today's global conditions, trade-economic cooperation, investment cooperation with foreign partners has the highest significance to Kazakhstan. We are ready to make every effort and provide full support to representatives of foreign companies operating in our country," Rakhmetullin said at a plenary session of the Business Council of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) on Monday.

Radical changes are now taking place in the world, new challenges and threats and regional conflicts are arising, and production and supply chains are being disrupted, he said.

"Despite all these challenges, every crisis inspires the global community to work together on overcoming these challenges," he said.

Another promising area for cooperation is agriculture, Rakhmetullin said.

"Bearing in mind that Kazakhstan is among the five top countries in the potential for agriculture development, we can play an important role in strengthening food security in the region. Today we are interested in implementing joint investment projects for deep processing of agricultural products using new technologies," he said.

Kazakhstan can offer the necessary resources, access to markets and board state support measures in this sector, he said.

The conference Astana Finance Days is being held in Nur-Sultan in a hybrid format on June 27-29. The conference program is devoted to the issue Sustainable Development, Social Responsibility, Growth. On the first day, a plenary session of the CICA Business Council is held at conference sessions.
