GEH using last year's financial as basis for 2022 planning, but expecting difficult H2 - Fedorov
MOSCOW. June 27 (Interfax) - Gazprom Energoholding LCC is using the financial performance of its subsidiaries last year as the basis for its 2022 planning, head of the company Denis Fedorov told reporters on Monday.
The group's net profit may amount to 45-50 billion rubles, the CEO said.
"But again, we don't understand what the second half of the year will be like, given all the events," he said.
"Export plants are now turning inward. They will have a significant impact on electricity prices, no doubt. Therefore, for now we are maintaining the benchmark that Gazprom initially set for us, but the second half of the year will be very challenging," the executive said.
The 2021 net profit of GEH companies was initially expected to be 37 billion rubles, but eventually topped 52 billion rubles.
Gazprom Energoholding LLC unites the electrical power assets of PJSC Gazprom , including PJSC Mosenergo , PJSC OGK-2 , PJSC MOEK, and PJSC TGK-1 , and it is the majority shareholder. The company is wholly owned by Gazprom.
