U.S. allots another $450 mln for Ukraine - Pentagon spokesman

WASHINGTON. June 24 (Interfax) - The U.S. administration has announced an additional allotment of $450 million for assistance to Ukraine, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said at a White House briefing on Thursday.

"United States announce another additional $450 million dollars security assistance for Ukraine. [...] This package contains weapons and equipment including new high mobility artillery rocket systems [and] the ammunition for the artillery systems that have already been provided [...] bringing the total amount of the security assistance we provided to Ukraine to approximately $6.1 billion just since February 24." Kirby said.

A total of $6.8 billion has been assigned to assist Ukraine since the day the incumbent U.S. administration took office, he said.
