Nikolai Zelensky resigns as CEO of Nordgold

MOSCOW. June 22 (Interfax) - Nikolai Zelensky resigned as CEO of Nordgold as of Friday, the company said in a statement.

Nordgold has not yet taken the decision on whom to appoint as the company's new CEO. "We will inform the market about the appointment separately," the company added.

Nordgold rounds out Russia's top-5 gold miners, and the group includes assets in Kazakhstan, Guinea, and Burkina Faso. Marina Mordashova is the controlling shareholder with a stake of around 52%.
