Mishustin urges EAEU members to expedite shift to settlements in national currencies
MINSK. June 21 (Interfax) - Russia is calling for an expedited shift to settlements in national currencies between Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Minsk on Tuesday.
"We propose that a shift to our own interstate financial settlement mechanisms be expedited," Mishustin said.
He also proposed a broader use of national currencies in foreign trade operations between EAEU members and countries that have proven to be trusted partners.
