Moscow Exchange to start trading Uzbek sum, Armenian dram, S. African rand June 27

MOSCOW. June 21 (Interfax) - The Moscow Exchange will begin trading the Uzbek sum, Armenian dram and South African rand on June 27, the exchange announced.

The new currencies will expand trading opportunities for professional market participants, and their retail and corporate clients, including those involved in foreign trade.

Spot and swap instruments on the following currency pairs will be available to trading participants and their clients: South African rand - Russian ruble (ZAR/RUB); U.S. dollar - South African rand (USD/ZAR); Armenian dram - Russian ruble (AMD/RUB); U.S. dollar - Armenian dram (USD/AMD); and Uzbek sum - Russian ruble (UZS/RUB).

The exchange also plans to start trading the currency pairs UAE dirham - Russian ruble (AED/RUB) and U.S. dollar - UAE dirham (USD/AED). The date when trading of these pairs will begin has not been announced yet.
