Russia not planning to introduce visas for Ukrainians as retaliatory measure - Duma's Slutsky

ST. PETERSBURG. June 17 (Interfax) - Moscow is not planning to introduce any visas for Ukrainian nationals, head of the State Duma Foreign Affairs Committee Leonid Slutsky told Interfax.

"Ukraine's decision on the visa regime in relation to Russian citizens is a provocation. We won't do that," he said.

When asked precisely as to whether Moscow will introduce visas for Ukrainians, Slutsky said: "But what for? We have loads of relatives in Ukraine, people counting on our assistance. Imagine [what it would be like] if we did the same things," Slutsky said.
