Macron pledges support to Kyiv in confrontation with Russia

PARIS. June 16 (Interfax) - French President Emmanuel Macron has pledged every form of long-term support to Ukraine so that it "could resist" the actions of Russia.

France will continue to give long-term support in every form, the France 24 television channel quoted Macron as saying during his visit to Irpin on Thursday.

Macron said his posture had been unwavering and France had been standing by Ukraine since day one.

According to France 24, Macron denied having any differences with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. It's crucial that Ukraine could resist and win, Macron said, adding that France is definitely on the side of Ukrainians.
