Gazprom Energoholding ready to consider acquiring Fortum's share package in TGK-1, no comment on other assets

ST. PETERSBURG. June 16 (Interfax) - Gazprom Energoholding is ready to consider acquiring the share package of Finland's Fortum in TGK-1 , Denis Fyodorov, Gazprom Energoholding general director, told reporters.

"Undoubtedly, if such a large minor leaves, it would be interesting for us as a majority to consider [buying the share package]. It is rather possible to purchase the share package, though this is a virtual matter, as it has not been discussed yet anywhere today," Fyodorov said when replying to a corresponding question about TGK-1.

"If there is such an option as the sale of the share package, with colleagues from Fortum holding around 30%, then we would of course consider it. I am not saying that we would buy, though we would consider such a possibility," Fyodorov said.

Fyodorov did not comment on the potential interest in other assets of foreign companies leaving Russia.
