U.S. to further support development of digitalization, cyber defense in Ukraine

MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Blink has familiarized herself with the operations of the government's computer emergency response team CERT-UA, set up at the State Service of Special Communications.

Brink said that the United States will continue to support and develop digitalization processes and cyber defense in Ukraine and will continue its important work to defend Ukraine, its people and its democratic future, the Ukrainian media quoted the State Service of Special Communications as saying on Telegram.

The service's director Yuriy Shchigol, in turn, noted that Ukraine and the U.S. are among the countries most subject to cyberattacks.

"Our countries maintain profound and fruitful cooperation in the field of cyber defense both at the interstate level and at the corporate level," Shchigol said.
