Georgia records first monkeypox case
TBILISI. June 15 (Interfax) - The first case of monkeypox in Georgia has been confirmed by laboratory tests, the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health said on Wednesday.
"The patient's history includes visiting Europe," the center said.
However, it did not specify what European country the patient had arrived from.
According to the center, the patient has a mild case of the disease.
The patient's contacts were monitored, and no clinical symptoms have been detected among them.
