Almost 38,000 people left Ukraine in past day - Ukrainian Border Service

MOSCOW. June 15 (Interfax) - Nearly 38,000 people left Ukraine via its western border on June 14 as compared to more than 33,000 the day before, while the number of those who arrived in Ukraine stood at over 34,000 on June 14 against 36,000 the previous day, the State Border Service of Ukraine said on social media.

The number of vehicles with humanitarian cargoes cleared for entry to Ukraine again dropped to an all-time low of 91 on June 14 from 120 the day before, Ukrainian media quoted the State Border Service as saying.

Data released by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees as of 1:00 p.m. on June 13 show that 7.514 million people have left Ukraine since February 24. Of them, Poland has taken 3.955 million, Russia 1.136 million (figures as of June 9), Hungary 764,220, Romania 642,160, Moldova 498,900, Slovakia 501,340, and Belarus 16,650.

A total of 2.479 million people (not counting arrivals from Hungary, Russia and Belarus) crossed into Ukraine between February 28 and June 13, according to UN figures.
