NLMK forecasting 15% decline in steel output in Russia in 2022, 26% drop in H2

MOSCOW. June 14 (Interfax) - Russian steel production could fall 15% or more than 11 million tonnes in 2022 to 59.6 million tonnes, NLMK said in a report.

Output is expected to drop by 26% or more than 9 million tonnes year-on-year in H2 2022.

It is on course to drop 6% year-on-year in H1 2022 to 33.3 million tonnes, including 29% to 10.7 million tonnes of hot roll, 15% to 17.5 million tonnes of long products and 6% to 14.9 tonnes of semis.
