Putin: Full rejection of Russian energy resources in next few years unlikely possible

MOSCOW. June 9 (Interfax) - A complete rejection of Russian energy resources in the next few years is unlikely possible, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with young entrepreneurs on Thursday.

"In terms of rejecting our energy resources - this is unlikely over the next few years; and over these few years, it is not known what will happen. Therefore, no one will 'lay concrete in the wells' - there is no such need," Putin said.

"In the extreme case, what does this lead to, as it is now? The volume of oil is decreasing on the worldwide market, prices are rising - that is all. Companies' incomes are increasing in monetary terms. Everyone sees this, everyone understands this," Putin added.
