Ukraine planning to get $20 bln int'l assistance by yearend - finance minister
MOSCOW. June 9 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Finance Ministry is planning to draw $4.8 billion as loans and grants from international partners in June and around $4 billion more in July, while the overall assistance may reach $20 billion by the end of this year, Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko said.
"We are planning to draw $4.8 billion this month. Compared to $1.5 billion drawn in May, this is a very substantial amount," Marchenko said at a meeting of the Financial, Tax and Customs Policy Committee on Thursday, as reported by Ukrainian media outlets.
"We are planning to additionally draw $20 billion by the end of this year," Marchenko said.
