Some 26,000 Ukrainian teachers move abroad - Education Minister Shkarlet
MOSCOW. June 9 (Interfax) - Some 26,000 Ukrainian teachers have moved abroad amid the current situation, Education and Science Minister Serhiy Shkarlet said.
"As of this day, 26,000 teachers have moved abroad but all of them are engaged in the educational process," he said on the Snidanok z 1+1 television program on Thursday.
Ukrainian media outlets quoted the minister as saying that some of these teachers are serving as volunteers in the educational process in the countries of stay (Saturday schools or education hubs), while others work remotely in the Ukrainian educational system.
"For now, we are not observing a deficit of teachers as the new school year begins," Shkarlet said.
