Xsolla liquidating Russian subsidiary
PERM. June 9 (Interfax) - Xsolla, a U.S.-based video game commerce company founded by Perm native Alexander Agapitov, is liquidating its Russian subsidiary, Perm-based Xsolla Russia Holding LLC, data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities showed.
The decision to liquidate was made on June 2. Xsolla LLC (Perm) director Valentina Chemodanova has been appointed chairman of the liquidation commission.
Xsolla has not yet responded to requests for comment on this information.
Data from the SPARK-Interfax system showed that Xsolla Russia Holding LLC is the sole founder of Perm-based firms Xsolla LLC, Xsolla Games LLC and System Projects LLC. Xsolla Russia Holding itself is 99.99% owned by U.S.-based Xsolla Holding Company and 0.01% by Agapitov.
Xsolla reported back in August 2021 that it planned to layoff about 150 employees at various offices, including Perm and Los Angeles. Most of the job cuts were expected to be in Perm, where Xsolla had a far larger staff than at other locations.
Xsolla, which was founded in Russia in 2005, is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, and also has offices in Perm, Seoul, Berlin, Kuala Lumpur, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Singapore, Delhi, Dubai, London, Dublin and Limassol, Cyprus.
