Ukraine receives 40 containers, 35 trucks of electrical equipment with Energy Community Secretariat's assistance - official

MOSCOW. June 8 (Interfax) - Ukraine has received 40 containers and 35 trucks of electrical equipment with the Energy Community Secretariat's support since February 24, Ukrainian media reported citing the Energy Ministry as saying in a report on its website on Wednesday with reference to Deputy Energy Minister for Digital Development, Digital Transformations, and Digitalization Farid Safarov.

"The Energy Community Secretariat is extremely efficient in coordinating and optimizing these common efforts. Thanks to it, we have received 40 containers and 35 trucks of electrical equipment, such as generators, transformers, cables, insulators, joints, and so on," Safarov said during a webinar on the Energy Community's support for Ukraine organized by its Secretariat.

Taking part in the webinar were also Energy Community Secretariat Director Artur Lorkowski and member of the European commissioner for energy's cabinet Barbara Glowacka.

Supported by the European Commission, the Energy Community Secretariat has assumed leadership in arranging assistance from European energy companies to the Ukrainian energy sector, the ministry said.

The Ukrainian Energy Ministry also includes a special working group comprised of government members, representatives of energy companies, transmission and distribution operators, and civil society groups, which coordinates the distribution of donor support from European countries and companies, Safarov said.
