Tinkoff Bank included in list of IT cos accredited by Russian ministry

MOSCOW. June 8 (Interfax) - Tinkoff Bank (SPB: TCS ) has been included in the list of information technology companies accredited by Russia's Digital Development and Communications Ministry, a list of these companies posted on the ministry's website showed.

Tinkoff Bank recently made changes in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, supplementing information about itself with activities related to the use of computer equipment and information technology. Prior to this, the bank's activities only listed as monetary intermediation and dealer activities.

A number of Tinkoff Bank's technology subsidiaries are already on the list of accredited IT companies: Tinkoff Development Center since December 2016; Tinkoff Operating Technologies, Tinkoff Investment Technologies and Tinkoff Mobile Technologies since January 2022; and Tinkoff Mobile since April 2022.

Tinkoff Bank CEO Stanislav Bliznyuk said at the end of May that tax breaks should be extended to IT professionals at banks. He said banks are increasingly becoming more like IT companies and the share of IT professionals at banks is growing, which should be taken into account in terms of support for tech professionals.
