VK top managers Gabrielyan and Merzlyakov die in accident

MOSCOW. June 7 (Interfax) - First deputy general director of VK Vladimir Gabrielyan and the company's director of procurement Sergei Merzlyakov have died in an accident in Russia's Nenets Autonomous District, VK said in a statement.

"It became known this morning that Vladimir Gabrielyan and Sergei Merzlyakov died in a tragic accident. We join with their family and friends in their sorrow. Vladimir and Sergei will forever remain part of our team," the VK press service said.

As reported earlier, Gabrielyan went missing when their all-terrain vehicles overturned near the village of Shoina in the Nenets Autonomous District. As they attempted to cross the Bugryanitsa River, both vehicles overturned, and the river current "dragged them into the sea", the Union of Reindeer Breeders said on VK.
