Russia registers 3,349 new cases of Covid-19, lowest number since April 2020, 64 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. June 6 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 3,349 new cases of Covid-19, which is the lowest number since mid-April 2020, as well as 662 hospitalizations and 64 deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Monday.

"As of June 6, Russia recorded 3,349 new cases of Covid-19 and 662 patients were hospitalized, down 20.9% from the previous day," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 18 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in 49, and has remained unchanged in 18, it said.

Another 64 patients have died from Covid-19 over the past day, as against 75 the day before.

The daily morbidity has decreased by 437 cases from 3,786 infections on Sunday. This is the lowest daily morbidity seen since April 15, 2020, when Russia reported 3,388 cases of Covid-19.

"Meanwhile, 3,492 patients have recovered from Covid-19 over the day, down 11.3% from June 5," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 18,355,200 cases of Covid-19, including 379,584 deaths and 17,767,753 recoveries.
