Ban on flights to Russia's southern airports extended until June 12

MOSCOW. June 6 (Interfax) - Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) has extended the ban on flights to several airports in central and southern Russia for the 17th time, this time until June 12.

"Temporary restrictions on flights to 11 Russian airports have been extended until 3:45 a.m. Moscow time on June 12, 2022. Flights to the airports of Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Elista, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol and Voronezh are temporarily restricted," Rosaviatsia said in a statement on Saturday.

All the other airports in Russia are operating normally, it said.

The regulator has introduced the ban on February 24, the day the special military operation in Ukraine began.
