Russia registers 4,188 new cases of Covid-19, 78 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. June 3 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 4,188 new cases of Covid-19, as well as 2,093 hospitalizations and 78 deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Friday.

"As of June 3, Russia recorded 4,188 new cases of Covid-19 and 2,093 patients were hospitalized, up 6.5% from the previous day," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 44 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in 35, and has remained unchanged in six, it said.

Another 78 patients died from Covid-19 over the day, as against 85 the day before.

The daily morbidity has insignificantly decreased from 4,262 cases reported on Thursday.

"Another 5,234 patients have recovered over the past day, up 5.2% from June 2," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 18,343,964 cases of Covid-19, including 379,363 deaths and 17,755,194 recoveries.
