Canada to give Ukraine 10-year loan of CAD 1bln

MOSCOW. June 2 (Interfax) - Canada will grant a ten-year loan of one billion Canadian dollars (CAD) to Ukraine, according to a draft government resolution dealing with the terms of the loan.

The government's Resolution No. 639, dated May 31, says that the interest on this loan will be equal to the International Monetary Fund's basic rate, and there will be a 4.5-year grace period, the Ukrainian media said.

The interest will be paid every six months following the conclusion of the grace period, according to the document.
